Alexis strives to provide empathetic, compassionate, and informative legal guidance to her clients and their loved ones while they navigate the complex, and sometimes overwhelming, legal system. She practices primarily in the area of family law but also provides services for clients looking to create wills or manage the process of estate administration. Alexis’ background includes criminal defence, and she brings that knowledge and expertise to her family law practice. Alexis aspires to work with and for her clients to achieve collaborative mediated and negotiated resolutions to their legal issues in order to maximize client control over the process and outcomes.
However, she also believes that the traditional litigation model of dispute resolution has its place and is sometimes required for clients who may be dealing with especially difficult, oppositional, or absent opposing parties. Alexis works with her clients to continually assess how to best address their unique legal and practical personal needs at every stage of the process. She prides herself on her ability to provide practical and cost-effective solutions for her clients that aimed at creating a new foundation for them to build upon.
When she is not working Alexis enjoys embracing her creativity through painting, pottery, cross stitch, embroidery, beading, crochet, model building, and cooking, all with the very helpful supervision and company of her two cats Kevin and Theodore.
