Areas of Practice: Family Law – Litigation and Negotiation, Agreements, Protection Orders, Appeals, Estate Litigation, Wills & Estates, Real Estate
Robert Grenville Waugh, better known as Grenville or Gren, obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba in 1986 and his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Manitoba in 1991.
Gren is a seasoned lawyer currently concentrating his practice in the areas of family law and wills and estates with a focus on litigation. Gren has a diverse general practice background with years of experience in criminal litigation, civil litigation, and real estate, providing valuable insight and depth of understanding to his family law practice.
Gren prides himself on his ability to negotiate a fair resolution for his clients. He recognizes that a breakdown of a family relationship can be extremely difficult on the parties and their children, both emotionally and financially, and that every reasonable effort should be made to try to reach a fair resolution by agreement between the parties. But he also recognizes that in some situations a fair resolution is not forthcoming through good faith negotiations requiring the matter to proceed to litigation in order to be resolved in a fair manner. Gren confidently navigates a contested matters through litigation and trial when required.
Gren has had the pleasure of presenting at a Manitoba Bar Association seminar on Real Estate practice and procedures. Over the years, he has acted in various volunteer capacities at his local community club. He has appreciated the opportunity to coach all four of his children in hockey, soccer, softball, and baseball.
Gren has enjoyed participating in the lawyer softball and volleyball leagues. In his spare time, he continues to play tennis, hockey, softball, and badminton.
